We would like to welcome you to the Village of Burlington.  We hope that you find the following information helpful.

Your water rate schedule is as follows:

The first and second month of each quarter there will be a fixed fee of $25.50 plus a meter maintenance fee of $2.00, plus a fixed fee of $9.00 for water tower refurbishing plus 3,000 gallons of usage at $4.00 per 1000 gallons which equals $48.50.  After meter readings are read, the third month will be billed as follows:  Fixed fee of $25.50 -6,000 gallons of usage at $4 per 1000 gallons plus a meter maintenance fee of $2.00 plus $4.00 per 1000 gallons used up to 22,500 and $7.75 per 1000 gallons of use beyond 22,500 gallons. In monetary terms: ($25.50 - $24.00 + $2.00 + $9.00 + usage x applied rate).

The water meters are read quarterly and bills are sent out monthly with the balance due in our office for overage by the quarterly due date listed on your monthly bills.

Quarterly readings are taken the first week of March, June, September and December of each year.  A 10% penalty will be applied on any unpaid balance after the due date listed on the water bills.  You may make payments to the above address or by dropping payment in the payment box located outside of the Village Hall.

A security deposit of $150 is due upon receipt of this letter along with a $50 non returnable water turn on fee.  After 24 months from the date of deposit the user has not been delinquent in the payment of water charges, the deposit shall be returned to the user without interest.

Garbage pickup: Call Groot, Inc. at 847-429-7370. The Village of Burlington has negotiated the best rate for residential pickup through Republic Service and grants them an exclusive residential license for this service for our residents.
